What your main concerns are
The alignment of your teeth
The cosmetic appearance of your smile
Overall facial harmony
How your bite comes together
How your jaws are aligned
How your teeth function during chewing movements
The health of your gums
If braces, retainers, or Invisalign are indicated Dr. Martin will discuss with you:
Possible courses of therapy
Estimated length of treatment
Estimated cost of treatment
The answers to any other questions or concerns that you may have
After the initial examination, if you are interested in orthodontic treatment, we recommend that you allow us to take diagnostic records. We know your time is valuable, so to expedite treatment, we will have reserved time following the exam to take these records (at no cost to you). These diagnostic records will consist of several x-rays, a series of photos, and impressions for study models. These records will give the doctor all of the information that he needs to develop a detailed treatment plan specifically designed for you.
Dr. Martin will go over your finalized treatment plan at the patient conference, (your second appointment). Those appointments are done over the lunch hour or at the end of the treatment day (4:15), so that Dr. Martin can give you his undivided attention. Dr. Martin's goal at that appointment is to have you leave with a clear understanding of your specific needs, treatment details, cost of treatment, and how long it should take.
